Sun Cellular's 24/7 Call and Text Unlimited (CTU) is a great departure from other cellular phone services that bill you per minute of talk time and per text. It has naturally become quite popular among those who want to keep in touch with their relatives while keeping their cellphone expenses well within budget.
When Volunteers for a New Philippines (of which I am a part of) conducted automated mock elections all over the country in 2007 to show the Comelec that pilot automated elections could be held, we relied heavily on Sun Cellular to coordinate our operations.
The mock elections were a great success. We set up automated polling stations in universities in Northern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Polling was conducted smoothly with over a thousand students joining in.
If we had used another cellphone service, the bills would have been astronomical! For sure.
