Ricky Rivera a.k.a. Patricio Mangubat of New Philippine Revolution already wrote about this glitch on www.president.gov.ph yesterday on Facebook and this morning, I checked it out to see if the administrators of this website had already fixed the bug.
The page http://www.president.gov.ph/government/default.aspx invites people to write about their concerns, it says "P-Noy wants to hear from you. Ibahagi ang iyong mga saloobin kung paano mas magiging 'transparent' ang ating gobyerno."
So, I tried it out and tried to post this message:
On behalf of my in-laws who were victims of the Ondoy floods last year, I would like to ask your office to provide information detailing the programs and projects aimed at preventing or mitigating a repeat of this disaster.
I would like to request to be furnished with a list of programs and projects aimed at preventing or mitigating the effects of another Ondoy flood along with the names of the officials of the implementing officials together with the funding appropriations made for their offices.Right after clicking on the Captcha button, a message appeared on the right side of the comment box.
In case you can't see it, here is a close up.
I think the Palace Commsgroup ought to fix this PRONTO since government money was spent on this and this is ACTUALLY A SERVICE THAT THEY OUGHT TO RENDER TO THE PEOPLE.
I am sure not much can be done at this point to prevent another Ondoy Flood, but I think the least that the government can do is to prove that it is listening to me.
