Charter Change Congressmen and Congresswomen

Ellen Tordesillas and Pedestrian Observer posted this list of congressmen and congresswomen who they claim voted for House Resolution 1109 titled "A RESOLUTION CALLING UPON THE MEMBERS OF CONGRESS TO CONVENE FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING PROPOSALS TO AMEND OR REVISE THE CONSTITUTION, UPON A VOTE OF THREE-FOURTHS OF ALL MEMBERS OF CONGRESS".

The resolution dilutes the participation of the Senate in proposing the consideration of amendments to the Philippine Constitution. Instead of voting jointly but separately, the resolution lumps together all congressmen and senators into one voting population -- eliminating a vital check and balance that is a safeguard against what amounts to mob rule. With just 23 Senators, the Upper House of Congress would be outvoted by a substantial number of 270 congressmen.

Given the manner in which the resolution was passed, which was exactly like judging a contestant in a talent show just based on the loudness of the cheers given, I have every reason to suspect that what was expressed was a desire to fulfill the DICTATES of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

I have already personally expressed my objection to Charter Change to my Congresswoman, Manila 4th District RepresentativeMA. THERESA B. BONOAN-DAVID and apparently, I've been ignored.

After all, what is one voice and one vote before the tide of an unreasonable mob? It's nothing.

Because I resent this and because I am vindictive, I will not to vote for congresswoman Bonoan-Davoid in 2010 because she represents an interest in charter change which I object to.

I will look into every single project that she has advertised with so many self-serving tarpaulins printed with taxpayer's money. She better pray that no one comes out and denounces her projects as a scam. She better pray and hope that whoever she prays to above or below listens to her supplications.

And I will ask Senator Mar Roxas to give me some of his garlic garlands to ward off Congresswoman Bonoan David -- whom some say looks every bit of an aswang in real life.

Congresswoman Bonoan-David is apparently the very face of deception and apparently does nothing except hang on to the saya of Presidentita Gloria.

I wonder where she'll spend the extra P20 Million her patroness gave her?

She ought to go for some plastic surgery care of Dr. Hayden Kho and ask for some EXTRA SERVICE.

Now, here is a list of other congressmen and congresswomen who purportedly supported House Resolution 1109. And since they merely clapped, howled, or barked their vote of approval for House Resolution 1109, they may later deny voting for a resolution paving the way for charter change.
