Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo files resolution for Charter Change!

Source: Philippine Online Chronicles.

On her first working day as Pampanga’s district representative, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo filed a house resolution calling for a constitutional convention (Con-con) to propose revisions to the 1987 Constitution.

She co-authored the bill along with her son, Camarines Sur first district Rep. Diosdado "Dato" Arroyo. House Resolution No. 8 "calling for the Constitutional Convention to propose amendments to the revision of the 1987 Constitution" was filed by a staff from Dato Arroyo’s office at the House of Representatives' Bills and Index Division.
This was expected and a bit inevitable.

The question is, can we separate the issue of Charter Change and the bogey of Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's return to power as head of state?

Grabe!

GMA performing is true to form. She has to retain her immunity from suit stature forever. One way is to have a cha-cha that elects her as prime minister in a unicameral assembly. That is called anticipation and forward looking. To be able to escape prosecution after years of corruption must be a great achievement for any president.
