Locsin on whether articles of CoRRECT Philippines convinced him to support Parliamentary Shift

Not wanting to let the members of a small Facebook group down, I decided to tweet out an article where the leader of the small Facebook group claims that former Makati Representative Teddy Locsin Jr. was convinced to support parliamentary shift because of their articles.

The leader says:
He (Locsin) got exposed to the numerous literature (articles and videos) that CoRRECT had created and got passed around, and thanks to the buzz that we created in making it a very important issue to look into, he not only took a second look, he also looked into the merits of why the parliamentary system is superior to the presidential system.

Did Locsin really say this? What a bigoted mind he has then, not to mention he sounds shamelessly racist.  What does the race of a messenger of a great idea have to do with its merits?  Gandhi was not white and yet he contributed a lot to the progress of humanity.  Locsin then is overrated as an intellectual and does not deserve to be a spokesperson of our cause.  As a strong supporter of parliamentary politics, I am grateful to the Correct movemnt, a small facebook group which aggressively promotes its merits, considering the lack of enlightened space for it in our public discourse.  Locsin is a media personality, who proves to be a bigot by patronizing only writings of "white men", and not white women?  This makes him a double bigot, a racist and a sexist!  Why should we care about what he says then?  Too bad, I have been folowing his posts on the CJ trial and was quite impressed.

I think Locsin was merely stating that there are better references that can be found. Nothing racist or bigoted about it, as far as I can see.

why do you criticized the CoRRECT Movements sir Paul Farol? or you just want to show that you hated much to the person that organized the CoRRECT group?

Paul Farol said...

I am not criticizing CoRRECT but the actions of one advocate in particular who refuses to stop using deception.

i hope you don't mind sir Paul Farol, does it necessary to do this blog? seems like you are disgusted but should you have to consider of some points that you and CoRRECT have in common? or not?

I think Locsin also means, he does not depend on local sources (i.e., fellow Filipinos). His sources on the parliamentary government form came from abroad, mostly from those who write about it, and perhaps from people who live in a country run by a parliamentary government.

Of course, where else would be the best sources about the parliamentary government than the countries that have it?

I have a completely different idea in mind and it doesn't involve waiting for parliamentary shift or econ lib to happen.
